It's Not Easy Being Green......

  If you want to know if something is good, see if it has stood the test of time.  One of those things is Sesame Street which has been running for 40 years.  Many times it has had moments of profundity and one such moment was when Kermit sang It's Not Easy Being Green.  Along that same line, it isn't easy being young, old, skinny, fat, American, European, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, male, female, or a multitude of other facets of our individual identities.  Face it, life is tough and how we deal with it is up to us.  The important thing to remember is no matter how tough we think we have it, someone else has it tougher. When you are in a pickle, imagine the worst possible outcome and come up with the best possible solution.  Nine times out of ten it won't be so bad after all.  So take a minute to lick your wounds and then get back into the fight.  And while you are at it, it is okay to help someone else along the way and that might take your mind off your on situation a little bit, too.  But above all else and in spite of everything else, try and look at the bright side, you could have been a frog!
